Assessment Services

HopscotchED may recommend a range of standardised assessments to gain a better understanding of your child's learning potential, wellbeing and academic progress. These assessments may highlight areas of strength and areas where further support would be beneficial. HopscotchED is unable to formally diagnose however, assessments and recommendations will provide essential information to help inform other specialists. HopscotchED prides itself on taking time to connect to other agencies and service providers to ensure a wholistic approach is provided. 

HopscotchED strongly believes assessments should be used to help inform practice and support.  Comprehensive written reports including results and recommendations will be included upon request.

Assessment Services

EDUCATION / ACADEMIC 

EXECUTIVE FUNCTION

SOCIAL EMOTIONAL 
 

HopscotchED is able to conduct a full range of comprehensive academic assessments that will provide insight into areas of strength and challenge for individuals from 3-20+. The WIAT-III and Key Math 3 are two of these assessments. 

Early literacy and numeracy skills may also be investigated, including phonological awareness. 

Observations and screening assessments may be conducted to provide insights into auditory and visual processing. 

Assessments that may investigate Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) including Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and Dysgraphia can be completed. 

 
Executive Function includes skills like our ability to attend, organise, intitiate and remember. HopscotchED is able to conduct a range of Executive function assessments that include caregiver, teacher and self-report surveys that provide insight into skills across a variety of environments. 

This may/may not include screening assessments for ADHD/ADHD inattentive. 
Our social and emotional wellbeing can impact our learning and engagement in activities. HopscotchED will work with you and your child to identify areas that may be impacting participation.

HopscotchED is able to review the development of very young and preschool aged children 0-5 and provide families / caregivers with clear goals and resources to support child development. 
HopscotchED is able to conduct formal assessments around factors that impact daily living skills, physical activity and handwriting. 

Assessments that investigate Developmental Coordination Disorder otherwise known as Dyspraxia can be completed. 


 
Functional Capacity refers to how well we can engage in our daily living activities including community and school. HopscotchED can provide comprehensive functional capacity assessments with tailored support goals as required. 

A sensory assessment may also be conducted to provide insight as to how an individuals sensory system may be impacting their participation.
